ABOUT

THE RUDE AWAKENING is an intriguing MIDLANDS-based synth duo that creates original songs based on life experiences, taboos and the insecurities of humans.

Johnny and Bridget have been writing and performing together since 2018 following years spent making electronic music in other guises. Johnny has supported Blancmange, Adam Ant,

Wolfgang Flur, SigueSigue Sputnik, Altered Images, etc, and Bridget was half of Aberdeen-based synthpop act Destination.

Together as THE RUDE AWAKENING, the duo’s debut album Kaleidoscope received many favourable reviews and, recently cited by The Electricity Club as a band to watch, they are now working on their second album. With a string of original single releases to their name already including Emerald Dancer, It’s OK Not to Be OK, TO SAY GOODBYE, SQUEAL!, she has a juice box.
